STEICHEN--Joanna Taub. 1933-2010. Beautiful, elegant, spirited, and accomplished: Joanna's sudden death is a great loss to those of us who knew and loved her, both here and abroad. She was born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn and spent her school years at St. Agnes Episcopal School for Girls in Albany,...

Not sure what to say?

As Joanna's neighbor, RE Broker and friend Joanna loved to have people over to her home taking pleasure in giving them a little gift as they left ! Truly a caring and lovely woman always with wonderful stories to tell. How many times did I see Joanna rushing out of the building in a fabulous gown going to a wonderful event. She was a very unique and special woman filled with class and full of life. Condolences to her family and close friends. Linda Gertler

Joanna was my psychotherapist for more than fifteen years and I consider myself so lucky to have found her She was dedicated, challenging, smart and nurturing. She was a force to be reckoned with. She made me work hard but what I received in return helped save my life. I will always miss her.

With Audrey Stottler at Washington Opera

A dear friend for forty years, Joanna's large and rich presence is already sadly missed. We shared much together, including the same profession (psychotherapy) and opera, often visiting Glimmerglass Opera together, which she loved. Here's a pic of Joanna and myself with our friend, the great soprano Audrey Stottler after her performance of Ballo in Maschera at the Washington Opera.

A great loss. Condolences to FRanceska and to her dear friend Edward Albee.
