Joanne E. Anzalone

Anzalone, Joanne E. (Norton)- Of Medford, passed away on July 4th 2023 at Tufts Medical Center after a brief illness. She was 53.

Born and raised in Somerville. She was the daughter of Joanne H. (Murnane) Norton and the late Thomas B.
 
Beloved wife of 23 years to Michael Anzalone, Deputy Chief, SFD . Devoted mother of Lily, Grace and Jamie Anzalone all of Medford. Loving sister of Thomas Norton and his wife Diane of Stoneham, Lillian Hunt-Norton and her husband John of Somerville, Barry Norton and his wife Margaret of Medford, Allison Norton-Koster and her husband Derek of Wilmington, and Allen Norton of Somerville. Dear cousin of Robert Murnane of New London, NH.  Cherished daughter in-law of Veronica Callahan and her husband Eddie “Grumpy” of Conway, SC. Dear sister-in-law of Kevin Anzalone and his wife Michelle of Peabody, Danny Anzalone and his wife Ruth of Arlington and Michelle Anzalone of Medford.  Also survived by many loving, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
 
A funeral procession will be held from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 11th at 9:00AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church 114 High St., Medford at 10:00AM.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 10th from 3:00PM to 7:00PM.

Services will conclude with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
