Not sure what to say?

I was just thinking about you today JoAnn, and then this Memorial popped up on my phone. Oh how the world has changed since you’ve been gone, can’t believe how long it’s been. You were a force to be reckoned with and I’ll always remember you fondly.

I was looking up JoAnne online because I had wanted to try and get in touch because she was in my thoughts and I was torn when I came across her obituary in the Columbus Dispatch that was posted last year.

I met JoAnne at SUNY Buffalo. I think it was in the Fall of 1993. I believe she was taking courses to get into the OT program at that time. I had just started the program that summer.

I absolutely adored JoAnne! She watched out for me like she was my older sister. The...

Dear Bauer family- I was completely shocked to learn of Jo's death today. I first met her many years ago in SC and we imeediately hit it off. I am also from Buffalo originally and we shared many viewpoints. I loved her for her wonderful personality and for what a truly caring and compassionate person she was. I will miss her but never forget her

I first met Joanne about 4yrs ago at Spain Restuarant in Columbus. I was with my sister having dinner. Joanne was with Julia Hider which I had known from going out dancing at the latin clubs in Columbus.I had just recently came back in contact witrh Joanne back inthe late summer early fall of 2007 and we had long talk about some of her issues she was dealing with. Last time I had saw Joanne was Christmas. I talke with her briefly about a week or so before her death. I so sad tht she left us...

Dear Bauer Family,
I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I work with Kaylee who was mentioned in a previous entry. JoAnne had great knowledge of sensory & OT issues. She taught our team many things and we are still practicing them today, which has improved Kaylee's life! She is greatly missed. I will think of her often and am grateful for the impact she has made.

Our heartfelt sympathies go out to JoAnne's family and friends. May God bless you with His peace and comfort during this difficult time.

JoAnne was a very caring and dedicated Occupational Therapist. One case manager told me that he could refer the more complex
medical kids to JoAnne because she would willingly take them on--even when no one else would.

JoAnne told me that God had blessed her with many children--her special needs kids. She loved each child and...

Bauer Family, Joanne worked with my daughter Kaylee for many years until her recent health issues. She taught us things about our daughter that would still be a mystery to us had Joanne not touched our lives. Kaylee is not able to speak for herself or even underestand that Joanne is gone. But we as her parents and caregivers understand that Kaylee's life is better because of Joannes dedication to understanding her needs, and educating us. Thank you for sharing Joanne with us. Her...
