Not sure what to say?

RIP Dr. Corbett. You will always be in my heart. You are truly missed. Love you. Former student

Dr. Corbett - I still miss you each and every day. You were a bright light in my life and for that, I will always be that flame that keeps your memory alive. Love and miss you!!

Dr. Keith McNeill (former student)

Its been 5 years and yet I still think of you and smile. A grand lady and the best mother to my best friend for life. Thank you for being wonderful!

I received the Spring/Summer edition of "UNCW" and read that Dr. Corbett had passed away in December. Not only was I her student at UNCW, but also a friend and fellow member at Trinity UMC. I cherish fond memories of Dr. Corbett and her family; a great lady has left us but indeed her legacy remains.

My thoughts and prayers are with Dr. Corbett's family during this difficult time Dr. Corbett was truly an inspiration, as well as a role model, mentor, and mother to me. Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just remember that you were very blessed to have such a special person in your life. Dr. Corbett will always have a special place in my heart.

Such a wonderfully full life. A true inspiration. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.
Our Love, Eddie and Margaret Collins

My sincerest condolences go out for you Scott, your sisters and the family for the loss of Dr. Corbett. She was a fine lady and will be missed.

I'm so sorry about you mothers passing. Even though Scott told me she was very ill, it is still hard to understand that she has passed. She was a wonderful woman and will be missed by many.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Dr. Corbett. She was one of my greatest professors at UNCW, and served on my honors committee when I was writing my paper for departmental honors in English. I graduated as a young Mother in 1996, and I truly believe her motivation and relentless encouragement is the reason I stayed in the program, and graduated with both departmental honors as well as Magna Cum Laude. She was an amazing lady, and she made a huge impact on my life. I will treasure all...
