My favorite memory of JoAnne - beyond her general kindness and ever present smile - was her special love for the children of the church. Even after my son and his mates were moved on to another class and teacher, they would happily rush up to JoAnne to show her their pictures, drawings or whatever when coming into the fellowship hall. And she would carefully congratulate and talk with each kid. And the hugs! She had a special talent with children, making each one feel loved and important....
