Joanne was a loyal, generous friend to us for decades tbroughout our careers in CMSD and beyond. She was a significant influence in our lives and many others. Joanne was a great leader in the Cleveland Teachers Union, and made a positive difference for countless CTU members -- union through and through. What a wonderful lady. We miss her dearly and extend our sincerest sympathies to her family and loved ones. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal."

Joanne was my Social Studies department chair at Audubon in the 1980s. She was such a beautiful person. When she heard my wife and I had a baby girl in 1991, she sent me a book I still have: "Love you forever " by Robert Munsch. She was always thinking of someone else. I miss you, Joanne.
