JOANNE DOTSON
ELLENBORO-- JoAnne Dobbins Dotson, 67, of Highway 74 Business, died on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Rutherford County, she was born on Feb. 7, 1947, a daughter of the late Horace and Beauna Newton Dobbins.
She was retired from Kemet and was a member of Race Path Baptist Church. She loved working in her flower gardens.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, James and Frances Dobbins; one sister, Donnis Dobbins. She is survived by her husband, Perry Dotson; one son, Matthew Dotson of Ellenboro; one sister, Doris Bridges of Knoxville, Tenn.; one nephew, Jimmy Bridges.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2 p.m.-3 p.m. at the church.
Funeral Service: A Celebration of Mrs. Dotson's Life will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, at Race Path Baptist Church.
Officiated By: Rev. Randall Cooper and Rev. John Godfrey
Burial: Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

I worked with JoAnne for many years at Kemet. Not a day went by that she didn't speak of her family with such love. Matthew, I feel like I know you to this day. She loved you all very much. I will miss her. RIP my sweet, sweet friend. I'll meet you on the other side! Sharon Brackett
