Joanne Gabel was a super nice person and the best piano teacher. I learned a lot and appreciated her patience and support. My condolences to her family. She will be missed.

She will forever be part of my adolescence and teen year memories as my piano teacher and mentor. As an adult, she accompanied my singing at a few funerals in Pinole. She was an accomplished musician, a pleasant and joyful woman, and a wonderful role model. She was a gift to St Joseph's and the surrounding communities. Women of her caliber are far and few between. She will be sorely missed. May she rest peacefully. Condolences to her children.

This photo captures exactly the Joanne I knew...outward-looking, enthusiastic, curious, an adventurer of life. She taught piano to generations of Pinoleans, giving the gift of music to these hills.
