Not sure what to say?

I was so saddened and shocked when hearing of JoAnne's death! I was a student in several of her Watercolor classes in Dubuque and a long time admirer of her beautiful paintings. She truly brightened the world with her happy smile and quirky humor. She was so giving of her incredible talent. I learned more from JoAnne than any other Art teacher I ever had! I was so looking forward to learning more from her. She was always so complimentary of her family. Rest in peace, JoAnne! You will be...

JoAnn was a breath of fresh air with her wonderful smile and laughter. I had the great privilege to take many art lessions from JoAnn. She had a gift for teaching that was amazing, and she was always so generous to share her great talent. Her fabulous paintings resembled her wonderful positive look on life and how much she loved people. She will be truly be missed but never forgotton. I wish the best for her family through this healing process.

I am so sorry for your loss. JoAnne was fun and friendly and a talented artist.
With deepest sympathy

Chris,Bill, Jim, and Bob,

I am so sorry and saddened by the news. JoAnne and I go way back, over four decades. Remember many good times and watching her blossom into the fantastic artist she became. I pray for your strength and courage to get through this extremely difficult time. Hoping JoJo will save me a dance in heaven! God Bless.

Joanne's wonderful smile and beautiful watercolor paintings will be deeply missed in the world. I am so glad that I got to know her through the years. My thoughts are with her family and friends. I know how much I will miss her stories and laugh at art fairs.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the close friends and family of Joanne. I only met her a couple of times but felt like I knew her for a lifetime. I was comfortable around her and she gave a warm feeling to my heart. I have 2 pieces of her art work and will keep them forever where I can see them everyday. Hugs to all of you. Always remember the good times and it's ok to cry.

Having JoAnne's beautiful pieces of art as desktop wallpaper always kept closer a cousin who lived far away. We will miss a very special person, relative, and artist.
