Joanne Hottenstein

SHELTON: Joanne Hottenstein, age 87, entered eternal rest on June 24, 2025, at the home of her family in Shelton. She was the loving companion of the late Philip E. Quickel.

Born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on February 20, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude Wolfe Dougherty. Joanne was a resident of Shelton since 1985 and employed as a paralegal for the Xerox Corporation World Headquarters in Stamford for over thirty years until her retirement. Known for her green thumb, Joanne had a natural talent for nurturing plants and flowers.

Joanne leaves to cherish her memory, son-in-law, Jeffrey B. Quickel (Robin) and grandson, Jeffrey B. Quickel Jr. all of Shelton. She was predeceased by her sister, Janeen Dougherty.

Per Joanne’s request, her funeral service and burial in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, will be private.
