Joanie and I go back many, many years. She was my closest cousin~we were in each other's wedding party & godmothers to one each of our children; her parents Joseph & Anna were also very close to my parents, Tony & Mary Ulan and we all spent many special days/holidays together. Joanne was one of my most favorite people in the world. We celebrated our October birthdays together every year. And, I played tennis with her for forty years. She was often talking and so funny during games, we usually lost the points, sometimes even the sets! She was always such joyful, passionate, positive and energetic company. Blessed I was, she was my friend. Joanne will be dearly missed.
