Joanne Oglivie

September 25, 1930 - February 8, 2024

Macon, Georgia - Joanne Ogilvie 93, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, February 8, 2024. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 12, 2024 at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road. Burial will be private. Rev Will Johnson will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service. The family ask in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Joanne was born in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of the late Fred and Francis Wasson. One of four sisters she grew up in Columbus, Indiana. She lived in various cities in the US following the career of her beloved late husband of 40 years Max Ogilvie. They settled in Macon Georgia in 1964. Joanne enjoyed playing and watching golf and she loved watching game shows especially Jeopardy. Playing cards with her friends at Magnolia Manor was her favorite pastime. She loved attending First Christian Church of Macon where she was a member since 1964. Joanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Joanne is proceeded in death by her husband, Max Oglivie, and son, the late David Ogilvie.

She survived by her daughters, Cindy Mayer, (John) of Crossville, Tennessee and Terry Blossom of Macon Georgia. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
