Joanne Pillow, of Flint, age 71, died Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Hope United Methodist Church, 4467 Beecher Road, Flint. Visitation 4-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Reverend Jack Amick officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation. Joanne was born in Flint on August 20, 1941, the daughter of Florence (Moor) Johnson and the late George Johnson and she was a resident of Flint. She was a former member of Central Methodist Church and was a teacher in the Flint Beecher District. Surviving are daughters, Julie Trealout (Angie Snider) of Flint and Kathy (David) Rice of Swartz Creek; grandson, Michael Rice; mother, Florence Johnson; brother, Fred (Mary E.) of Ohio; sister, Jean (Gary) Bee of Arizona.
