Silverstein/Lavine Families:

My deepest sympathy to all of you. I had the opportunity to catch up with JoAnne at our 40th Nottingham reunion this past October. She was so very warm and friendly, as if we had just seen each other that day in 7th period history instead of 40 years ago. I was impressed by her accomplishments and comforted by her assurance that her health was fine. Our conversation and her very gracious manner are a fond reunion memory.

Dear Gary, Paul and families,

I am so sorry to hear of Joanne's passing. I remember her mostly as Gary's little sister, a sweet girl.

She accomplished a great deal in her life, and leaves a legacy of love to her family and friends.

My heart goes out to all of you.

Much love,
Anna Collis Bronnenkant

The Local Advisory Committee of the Matilda Joslyn Gage Center is so fortunate to have had Joanne's friendly and effective leadership for several years. Joanne was deeply committed to the Center, applied herself seriously and always brought a warm smile to all endeavors. We will miss her thoughtful insights and delightful sense of humor.

We are so sorry to hear of Joanne's passing . Our condolences to her family .

Dear Paul,

So very sorry to hear of your loss. Any time I would have occasion to meet Joanne in the office or at company events she was gracious, kind, and charming. As were you! Although it has been many years since those days at Andrews, I still have copies of some of your emails from that time as you were always so thoughtful with praise, kindness and encouragement. I want you to know how that much that still means to me almost a decade later, and as evidence of how the...

I was saddened to read of Joanne's passing. We shared a few graduate school courses. I have not seen her in quite a few years but I remember her as lively, caring, very intelligent friend. She will definitely by missed by all who knew her.
