Joanne Wilkens

Susan and I will sorely miss Joanne´s wit, wisdom and friendship. I still cherish her 4-page thank you poems (hand written in cursive) for just being a helpful neighbor. We are thankful for her grace, education and thoughtfulness. I remember upon our first introduction Joanne describing how when she was a little girl, there were no trees in view of the farmhouse - only open farm land. Makes you think long and hard of the history of Gilmanton and what life was like for those who settled here....
