Not sure what to say?

I am sad about Jock going home & it was too soon. I'll miss his smile & gentile manners, since of humor...& wit. I worked with him at USPO in San Rafael '74-89. He saved my life. I had some political problems etc at work & he helped me tremendously! For 2yrs we delt with federal Supreme Court. And he helped me keep sober also. Afterwards he said he'd never practice law again. He is unique individual & will always be in my heart & I'll hear his voice in my memory***
Thank you & I love you....

Jock and I served in the army together (ASA). We first met at Zama, Japan, and went to Viet Nam and served in the 7th RRU together there. We lost track of each other after returning to the States. Just now I decided to search for him on the internet and am so sorry to find his obituary. He was a fine man when I knew him and I am sure he was a fine man until the day he died. It was simply in his nature. I'm just sorry that I didn't search for him years ago so I could have known him more.

He will be missed.
Very generous man. INTELLIGENT and very funny.
I am very sorry to hear the news.

Our deepest sympathy for Jock's passing. I worked with him at the Post Office in San Rafael, CA for many years. I was a union steward for the letter carriers at the time. Many times we shared information to achieve successful grievances. Jock is well remembered here at the San Rafael Post Office and many send their thoughts and prayer to the family. God Bless.

Jock and I had an unusual partnership for many years. I was a supervisor he was my "go to" union steward for most issues. While we had the most outrageous arguments over gawd knows how many important (as well as trivial) issues, we also had great respect for each other. So many times during a busy day I'd find myself drifting to the area he was working simply to get his opinion on events of the day, or just plain shoot the bull. If I wanted to know a specific thing, I'd ask HIM.
I'm glad...

Jock Penn was my friend. I am so proud to say that. I knew Jock for well over half of my life and worked with him for about twenty-five years. There aren't enough superlatives to describe the person that Jock was, not the least of which was the integrity he possessed. He was one of the most intelligent people I've ever known. There was hardly a subject that you couldn't discuss with him, except for maybe sports. Over the years we had many marathon conversations about music and...
