Jodi Jiles Obituary
Jodie was born April 15, 1925 to Rose Jiles and Minnie Jenkins in Huntsville, Texas. He retired from Gulf Supply Piping as a truck driver of 18-wheelers. He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta Jiles and daughter Sherry Elizabeth.
Jodie is survived by his sister Virdell Andrews, his daughters Joycelyn Fay Martin (Flenzy Martin Jr. deceased) and Diane Jiles Bradshaw and his son Jodie Lee Jiles (Sonceria). In addition, he has ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
The body will lie in state 2 - 4 pm on Monday, May 26 at Carl Barnes Funeral Home, 746 W 22nd St. Houston, TX 77008. Services will be held Tuesday, May 27,2014 at Windsor Village United Methodist Church, 6000 Heatherbrook, Houston, TX 77085. Visitation will begin at 10 am and the Celebration of Life at 11 am will be officiated by Rev. Michael Bowie, Stonybrook United Methodist Church, Gahanna, Ohio. Internment -Paradise North Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The Julia C. Hester House Senior Program, 2020 Solo Street, Houston, TX 77020.
