Not sure what to say?

Thank you, from many years later.

Jody's death is a tragic loss. I had not expected to see her name or picture when I opened the paper, but the memories of a talented and dedicated woman came flooding back. I knew Jody as a dedicated civil libertarian when we both served on the ACLU Board in Chicago. Her work for women came when it was needed most, and I am sure that many whom she helped are eternally grateful for her work.

Jody was one of the strongest, most dedicated feminist workers I have ever had the great pleasure to meet and to work with. I have never done work I am more proud of than that I accomplished with Jody, Ruth, Martha, Madeline, and the other 'JANEs'. May Jody's spirit and will and commitment fill us all and may we double and redouble our efforts on behalf of all those with whom we work, on behalf of all those whom we love. Strength to us all as we celebrate her life and continue our life's work!

May God have mercy on her soul.

I remember her fondly. My condolences to the family on their loss.

We have lost a wonderful friend and dog trainer. I have never seen her beautiful as the day she came to our son's wedding in october 09. Our condolences to lisa, linda and families. Our prayers are with you guys.

I am in shock, having just now gazed over the Obituary page and not expecting to see anyone i know - To all of Jodi's extended family, dogs, friends and fellow travelers and so many admirers,my deepest condolences. I had just sent around a note via email on January 18, which would have been D. Shigley's 70th birthday...I suspect that now they are with Jim Cooperman having some hearty laughs on the other side - M Horberg
