Not sure what to say?

Dear Frank and Jody's family, I am sorry this is nine months late but I just learned of Jody's death from the Slovak magazine (my sister called me) so I looked up this obituary online. Although Greensburg Central Catholic was so many years ago, I still considered her a dear friend even though we had lost touch with each other a while ago. She was always so kind to me and sharing of her talent. Please accept my sympathy and she will always be in my prayers.

It was listening to Annie McFadden's recent podcast that I got to thinking about great women Creative Directors. In fact, one of the topics spoke specifically to the challenges that women faced in this business. Well, Jody took them on head on and led with energy and passion and talent and joy. I'm sorry now that I lost touch with her when I left Pittsburgh in 2000 and it is with great fondness and pride that I say "I knew her when" and "I worked for her." My heart is heavy. Jody will be...

My hand and heart to you all in this time of great change. Jody and I were colleagues at HBM/Creamer many years and careers ago. What joy, kindness, intelligence, humor and lightness of being she brought forth as a creative mentor to the 20-something I was at that time. I honor you dear Jody, and celebrate all you brought forth with such generosity of spirit.

I knew Jody both at Allegheny College and then from her time in Chicago. We kept in touch because of our Burson connection, too.

I'm so sad and sorry to hear this news. Her creativity and verve were apparent from the first moment I met her.

I will cherish our last picture together.

I have known Jody since I was a little girl and she will be deeply missed. So sorry she was taken, but I can see her laughing up a storm with her parents up there!

Jody was an absolute genius! My mother used to always compare the two of us, as my mother knew her relatives on her mother's side very well. But I could never be like Jody! She was a gifted original! We went to school together for 12 years and were never best friends (that was Arleen) but for a while in grade school would spend birthdays together. I'll never forget the miniature tea set she got me one year, as I played with it all the time. Our high school yearbook was extraordinary because...

Hi Frankie!
I cried and cried when Mom called and told me that Jody died. So Mom started reminding me of stories. I had told her about you crawling through the clothes chute doors connecting inside Baba and Jody's closet. "FRANKIE"! We never knew how much you'd heard.:)...and there was the April Fool's Day, 5th grade, we dressed in each others clothes, walked in the classroom, and sat in each other's desk...(he he he)Then once in awhile, someone would tattle on us. "Sister, Jody and Arleen...

I'm deeply sorry to hear about your mom, Charlie. After all the great things you've told me about her, I wish I'd had a chance to meet her. Peter's and my thoughts are with you and your family.
