Joe Fredric Alamo

Joe Fredric Alamo, 85 of Gustine passed away Monday, May 21st at San Luis Care Center in Newman. 

Mr. Alamo was born in Gustine and was a lifelong resident. He was a maintenance technician for the California Department of Water Resources for 30 years. He is a parishioner of the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles in Gustine and a member of the Knights of Columbus and PFSA. Joe enjoyed fishing, camping and loved to tinker and could fix anything. 

Mr. Alamo is survived by his wife, Shirley Alamo of Gustine; sons, Joseph Alamo of Burbank, Robert (Jennyfer) Alamo of Gustine and Richard Alamo of Patterson; daughters, Michelle (Chris) Brooks of Ceres and Melinda (Mark) Wortman of Gustine; brothers, David Alamo of Oakdale, Eugene Alamo and Melvin Alamo both of Gustine; sisters, Mary Colwell of Stage Coach, Nevada and Carmina Mattos of Gustine; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 29th at the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles in Gustine. Interment to follow at Hills Ferry Cemetery in Newman.
