Joe Lee Amerson FORT WORTH--Joe Lee Amerson, 90, retired truck driver, entered rest Thursday, July 27, 2017. SERVICE: 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at Mansfield Avenue Baptist Church, 1201 Mansfield Ave. Burial: Dallas- Fort Worth National Cemetery Visitation: 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday at historic Baker Funeral Home. Joe Lee Amerson was born Oct. 9, 1926, in Leon County, Texas, An Army veteran, he was an ordnance truck driver and marksman during World War II. SURVIVORS: Wife of 36 years, Jimmie Burrell Amerson; daughter, Tonia Proctor; grandchildren, Jerrica, Simone and R.J. Proctor; stepchildren, Brenda, Donald, Barbara, Theresa, Ronald, Willie, Larry and Timothy; aunt, TeBirtie Washington; sisters-in-law, Helen Bridges and Carolyn Porter; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
