Joe Reyes Apodaca

My greatest memories of Joe are cooking tortillas in the kitchen (and learning how important it is to NEVER wash a cast iron pan with soap); learning how to paint with clean, vertical strokes on the brush; changing the oil on my 1967 VW bug; learning what it means to be a father of a daughter he loved; and learning how to have a great partnership with a woman who was his friend, collaborator, and trusted advisor. I think of you often.

I remember Joe and Linda as very talented jeweler/metalsmiths. at RIT SAC at the end of the 1960s and occasionally I have heard of their successes and have seen photographs of their beautiful work. I remember when I attended School for American Craftsman at R.I.T. both Linda and Joe were in my Silversmithing classes. I remember when they fell in love and married each other....very dear friends. My sincere condolences to Joe's family!

I´m very sorry to hear this. We saw my wedding ring at a crafts fair in Washington and ordered one. This was 28 years ago. We couldn´t afford to buy a matching one for my husband and always planned to do that in the future. My condolences to Linda and the family

Linda, Janeen and William, George and I are so sorry to hear about Joe's passing. He had a sparkle that very few people possess. We are so fortunate to have gotten to know Joe. Our prayers are with each of you.
