I just heard today that Joe had passed away and am very sorry and sad to hear the news. Joe combined for my dad, Howard Mortenson and grandpa, Ward Mortenson for years. He was truly a friend of the family and I can remember the smile that would come across my dads face at that first meeting of the harvest season. Joe would always ask, 'how are you doing young man'. I remember him being such a gentleman. I enjoyed listening to the stories around the kitchen table over a hot cup of coffee. ...
