Joe Asaro

I lived next door to Joe in the 60s in Godfrey ,I used to sit on the hill between our home and listen to his band practicing. I was about 10 at the time. I also mowed their lawn. Joe and Sherry were always kind to me and opened their home to me. Joe was also into muscle cars and motorcycles. We moved to Arizona in 1968 but I would always visit them when I was in town. So sorry to hear that Joey has passed away. He was a big part of my life growing up. I will always remember him playing the steel guitar downstairs with his dad at his parents house. His mom, Bernice, was my godmother. Rest in peace Joey.
