I am in total shock. Joe Joe, Kay Kay, and what was that little dog's name,,,, I will always remember our years together in Pontotoc 'on the station', and being next door to each other. Fondly thinking of you with love. Caroline Withers

Whoever penned Joe´s obituary described him completely and correctly. I can hear him coaching Joe Dan and partner players. We moved to Starkville in 1983 and soon befriended the Baker´s, as Joe Dan and our children were classmates. Joe and Kay enjoyed decades of life in StarkVegas and at MSU sports events as we did. Those events are our fondest memories of life in Starkville. Hail State and ringing cowbells for the Baker family! Rick and Loretta Kaminski

Back in the late `80s and early 90s, I was one of several Extension 4-H livestock and Dixie National Show photographers. Joe and I used to laugh about almost freezing to death in that show arena on the State Fairgrounds. It was colder than cold. Somehow we managed to thaw out for the next year. Rest in peace, Joe.
