Not sure what to say?

Its hard to think that Joe has been gone this long. I first met him in college (roommates) and he drove me to the induction center when I went into the Navy very early one morning in November, 1969. Our lives and careers sort of separated at that point but we both wound up in law enforcement so the friendship was enhanced by that career connection. We kept in touch, off & on, through the years but regardless of any infrequency we may have had, the original friendship bond was always there...

I just heard about Joe's passing. I am so sorry that I was not able to attend his services. He was a good fried and a wonderful man. My prayers are with Joe's family as they grieve his loss.

My sincere condolences to the bereaved family at this most difficult time. May you be comforted by reflecting on the many wonderful memories that you can treasure forever.

I have fond and precious memories of friendship with Joe's parents. I especially appreciated knowing Joe as he looked after his parents faithfully. God has welcomed home another "Good and Faithful Servant"...our sincere condolences to Eva and Autumn in your loss as well as to our entire community for the loss of a caring man.

May your family and friends keep you lifted up during your time of heartbreak. Prayers going up for the Barton Family.

I first met Joe while in college at East Texas State University in 1968. We became good friends which has lasted through the years. He dropped me off at the induction center when I went into the Navy - at 5:30am! The fact that he went into law enforcement influenced me to do the same thing. He was the straightest arrow I ever knew and no finer man on the planet. I am deeply saddened by his passing but know that his suffering is over and Heaven is the benefactor. Rest in peace, my friend.
