God’s gift, which was the life of Joe Thomas “June” Boyd, Jr., 82, began on August 23, 1941, in Keene, KY. to the late Joe Thomas, Sr. and Maggie Burns Boyd.  Joe was called home to eternal rest after a brief illness on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at the University of Kentucky Hospital. The family later relocated to Lexington and later settled in Smithtown. He attended Fayette County Public Schools. After retirement, Joe started his own handy man business where he enjoyed going from one end of town to another blessing those who needed work done.
