Joe M. Brandon, Jr.

Joe M. Brandon, Jr., age 47 of Murfreesboro died suddenly on Thursday December 10, 2015. Mr. Brandon was born and raised in Rutherford County, Tennessee. He graduated from David Lipscomb University in 1990 with a Bachelor's in Political Science and a Minor in Psychology and then earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Nashville School of Law in 1994. While in law school, he received honors recognition for his work in criminal law. Upon completion of law school, Mr. Brandon opened private practice and practiced for 21 years. He was a member of New Vision Baptist Church.

Mr. Brandon is survived by his wife, Laurie Young; children, Ashlee Erica Brandon, Zachery Mason Brandon, three step-children, Cy Young, Eli Young, and Wyatt Young; parents, Joe Brandon, Sr. and Carolyn Barnes Brandon; sister, Melanie Brandon Maxwell and husband Lee; nieces Hannahlee and MariMegan Maxwell.

Funeral service will be 2:00PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brady Cooper will officiate. Visitation will be 4:00PM to 7:00PM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. A private graveside service will be Monday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
