Not sure what to say?

Sorry to hear about Papa Joe. I played for Joe in the early 70s and will always remember the championships and the lessons I learned. My best to the entire family. Joe will be missed. Dave, Tim and Steve Lumley, quarterbacks from 68 to 75.

I was sorry to hear of Coach Devine's passing in December. My deepest sympathies go out to the entire Devine Family. I will always remember Coach Devine for our trips to Red Lake, Canada and having the patience to teach a novice how to catch the Big One! God Bless you Coach, Hope you catch a big one with the Big Guy.

the coach was a friend to me and my brother the late Mike pihl. He will be missed but not forgotten.God bless him and the family at this time.

Our sympathies are extended to the entire Devine family. As students & athletes at CSHS from both sides of our families going back to 1959, Coach Devine will be remembered with respect and high regard.
The Blummer Family

Our hearts go out to the Devine family. Joe was a great guy with a good sense of humor. We especially like the plaid sport coat that he wore to the 40 year reunion of the 1958 class. We will miss him. He was definitely a big part of early Sandburg history.

The five Semetis boys appreciated his
sincere desire to coach us to be the best.
We looked up to him as a father figure. I was his first and only state wrestling champion and he influenced me in my coaching philosophy.

JERRY & EILEEN McGRAW SEND OUR DEEPEST REGARDS TO THE DEVINE FAMILY. COACH DEVINE WAS A PERSON I LOOKED UP TO.

The Mulhausen family send their love and prayers to the Devine family.

All our love,
