Joe FACEN Obituary
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Joe Sr. and Emaline Facen; and brother, Clayton Paul.
He is survived by four daughters, Yvette Riley, Michelle Epps (Charles), Rhonda Clarke (Ronnie) and Christle Davis; brother, Tommy Facen; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; former wife, Princess R. Facen; and close friend, Lola Johnson.
Services will be held at noon Saturday, June 25, 2011, at Nickelson-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel, 4304 Victoria Blvd., Hampton, Va. The family will be receiving friends and family from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2011, at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services on Saturday in Hampton Memorial Gardens. Tommy and the Facen Family: Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always. My memories go back to our childhood when you and Joe lived on the corner of Orcutt Avenue and 26th Street. I lived on 27th Street in the 900 block. My cousins, Tim and Hilda Scott, lived across the street from you and we played when I came over to visit my cousins. Joe was also ahead of me at HHS, I was class of '67. May God's Grace bring you comfort and peace.

My condolences go out to the Facen Family, especially Tommy, Yvette, and friend Lola. May Joe rest in peace. I remember growing up in the 10 hundred block of 26th Street and interacting with the Facen family when they lived in that huge house on the corner of 26th and Orcutt Ave. We all crossed paths at HHS too. Joe was two years ahead of me. Class of 1966.
