Not sure what to say?

Nope. Joe's not gone....he is diving with his sister Kay and painting every sunset I see. Mimi and the farm will watch him as spring rejoices in new growth. I can't wait to laugh again with you, dear friend.

A kind and generous man has sailed on past this world. I will be forever grateful for the good care Joe gave my cousin, Kay, during her long illness. Her friends became his friends and we enjoyed several memorable group vacations. Rest easy dear Joe.

Although we didn't see much of each other later in life you were and will remain one of the best friends anyone could ask for, rest well my friend!

Mimi you are in our thoughts & prayers. Joe was a great man & will truly be missed.

Joe, your life on Earth has ended but your Heavenly light shines on all of us. Thanks for the wonderful memories. I'll always remember your unconditional love of family, friends and creatures - especially the bond you shared with Vernon just like I do with Galla. Peace dear friend.
Love, Linda

I'm deeply saddened to hear of Joe's passing. He was such a kind man; always there with a smile, hugs and a kind word. Our closely knit downtown Wilmington has lost one of its best. His presence will be missed.

I'll always remember Joe as the best brother to his sister Kay, the champion of all creatures and a man with a heart of gold toward all of his sister's friends. Miss you, Joe.

I taught Joe years ago, not long after I came as a young teacher fresh out of college. He was a smart fellow as I remember. I am sorry to hear of his passing, but I am thankful that he didn't suffer.
