Not sure what to say?

Joe was a classmate and friend when we were at DLHS. I was saddened to hear of his passing. However reading of his accomplishments and joy for living I realized he was no longer that fresh faced classmate from the 50s! What a life he lived...touching all of those he met. My condolences to his loving wife and all of many children.

Joe was a professional engineer. He cared about his work and his clients. As far as I know his last work was done here at NRM just a couple months ago. At one point he claimed that he was not happy with his productivity, so he refused to charge for all the hours he put in. That is indicative of how honest and hard working Joe was! A good honest hard working man, the values America were built upon.

I am sadden to learn of Joe's passing. I worked with Joe on a variety of projects leading up to the completion of the SNS construction project. Joe was great to work with. He loved to share stories of his travels - he loved to travel. I will miss Joe.

Joe was a good man. I worked for Joe as his admin assistant at SNS. He was an honest and kind man. I loved hearing about his trips and the fun things he did with his family. He shared with all of us that his family was very important to him and he would never have finished the chemo when he had tongue cancer had it not been for his family. I know that you will miss him a lot.

I worked with Joe at SNS. We saw him on a daily basis in the Document Control Center. He was always so nice. I am so sorry for your loss.

Joe was one of the most dedicated workers I have ever worked with. His determination to get design issues resolved with be missed at the Spallation Neutron Source. May God bless and comfort the friends and family during this difficult time.

Joe was my dad's supervisor and close friend for many years. He will be sadly missed by my family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I worked with Joe when I initially came to ORNL in 1989. He was first rate as a person and as an engineer. My condolences are extended to all his family.

Jennie, we were so sorry to hear about Joe. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We pray that God will give you peace and comfort during this difficult time. Mary & Bob Strege
