Not sure what to say?

Joe welcomed us to Texas when we moved here 30 years ago as if we were close blood relatives, instead of very distant kin. We loved hearing his stories about growing up in Navasota; about finding a rabbi in Corpus Christi to vouch for him after he proposed to Irene; about starting his insurance business after WWII by knocking on doors of the homes his broher had built. Joe had a great smile and enjoyed opening his house to our entire family. We loved him very much.

I have vivid memories of visiting with Joe and Irene when I would come to Dallas with Susie during our college days and in later years. I can still see Joe on his tennis court. Joe,you will be missed.

I met Mr. Jacob's at a lunch with his wife and daughter Susan. The love he had for this country and his service to our country was remarkable. He was a true gentleman who loved his wife and daughter Susan more than any of us will ever know. From one veteran to another Mr. Jacobs, I salute you..God Speed.

While I did not know Joe, being a much younger veteran (72), I so appreciate his wonderful service to our country. My uncle, Ray Sizemore, also flew bombing missions over Germany in WW II when I was a boy, and was one of the reasons I went through ROTC at UT and served as a Lt. in the "Big Red One." in the 60s. Love in Christ,
Walt Durham

Uncle Joe,
We will all miss you very much but your memories will live on in our hearts forever.

I met Mr. Jacobs recently at one of the Happy Warrior meetings. I was doing research for my WWII documentary film. He was a very nice fellow. I salute his service to our country and offer my condolences to his family.
