Queen of Heaven Cemetery and Mortuary - Rowland Heights Obituary

Joe Lara, lovingly known by family and friends as “Joe Loco,” passed away at the age of 60. Born and raised in California

Joe was the proud son of Joseph Lara and Ernestina Abogado. He had a deep love for his family, which was the most important thing in his life. He leaves behind his four children—Priscella, Joseph, Mark, and Nicollette—who were the center of his world. He was also the proudest TATA to eight amazing grandkids: Derrick, Joseph, Melody, Scarlett, Makoa, Zoe, Lulu, and Myles.

Joe is also survived by his loving sisters Sandra, Lisa, and Trisha. Along with Rebecca the mother of his children, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who he loved with all his heart.

He had a sentimental soul and a big heart. Whether he was spending time with family, cheering on the Rams or Dodgers, or out fishing (his true happy place), Joe was always full of love, laughter, and stories.

If you knew him, you knew how much his family meant to him—he showed it in everything he did. Joe Loco made sure we all knew we were loved, and he never missed a chance to tell you.

He may be gone from our sight, but he’ll always be in our hearts.
