Joe Barajas Lardizabal, 70, of Denton, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013. He was born on June 7, 1943 in Santa Rita, New Mexico to Jose Maria Lardizabal and Elisa Barajas Lardizabal. He married Mickey Liserio on July 3, 1965 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a business owner in Denton, Texas for 42 years. He loved to travel for relaxation, including watching movies and gambling. One of his favorite hobbies most of all were his grandchildren and spending time with his wife Mickey of 48 years of marriage.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton.

Joe is survived by his wife, Mickey; son, Stephen Paul Lardizabal and wife Shelby; sisters, Manuela Martinez, Dora Martinez, and Margaret Martinez; brother, David Lardizabal; 3 grandchildren, Joe Anthony Lardizabal and wife Anggelhy, Vivian Viering, Tori Lardizabal; and 2 great grandchildren, Jon Anthony and Gulliana Lardizabal. He is preceded in death by his son, Joe Anthony Lardizabal; and his parents. We would like to thank the efforts of neighbors, Denton Paramedics and the staff of Denton Regional Hospital.
