Not sure what to say?

Men like my Grandfather keep America free.

We were saddened to learn of the death of a patriot and fellow photographer. Joe was a long-time member of the Woodlawn Camera Club in San Antonio, Texas. He gladly shared his travels through Europe with his wonderful color slide travelogs. We really missed him when he moved to the Dallas area. His pictures of Rothenburg influenced me to visit this walled city, passed up by the industrial revolution, thus remaining as it was in the 1600s.

Bruse and JoHanna, we knew your dad but slightly, but I remember his jovial nature and obvious pride and loving relationship with you. I pray for your comfort and faith as you know that he is with the Lord and incredibly happy.

Bruce, My thoughts and prayers are with you especially at this time. It is hard to lose your dad's presence here on earth.....You will always feel his spirit. God bless you, Johanna, and your family Shelly Vaughn

Hi Bruce,

So sorry to hear about your Dad. I'm sure even if he was 95 and went peacefully, it is still hard. We will never forget the time you and your dad donated a great gift to our performance in Dallas. It was such a blessing!

May peace surround your heart.

Our Sincere Condolences.

Bruce, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.

Bruce and family,
We send our heartfelt condolences to your family as you mourn the passing, but celebrate the life, of your father - one of our nation's top soldiers. We met you through the accordion world but, as an Air Force transport pilot and commander, I am sure I airdropped him and his troops many times. His 82nt Airborne is the point of our nation's spear. As an Air Force Colonel (Ret.), I salute him. We pray that you may feel the calm assuring influence of the Holy Comforter at...

I never met Gen. Joe Lawrie. However, I wanted to send condolences to his family from the Greater San Antonio Camera Club (formerly the Woodlawn Camera Club). General Joe and Dotty Lawrie were very active in our club in the 1970s-80s. Newsletters from that time period indicate that he gave presentations to the club and placed well in the club's competitions. I'm the club's current president and newsletter editor. I regret that I never got to meet General Joe or see his photography. He will be...

Bruce and family, my sincerest condolances. You are in my thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.
