Joe Leija Jr. born on March 11, 1960 went to be with the Lord on September 10, 2009 at the age of 49. He is survived by his loving wife Diane G. Leija; parents, Joe and Oralia Leija; children, Jessica, Joe III, Benny and Christina; stepchildren, Melissa, Eve, Derrick, and Kimberly; brothers, John and Rudy; sisters, Janie and Jackie; 12 grandchildren; numerous extended family and friends. Joe was a loving son, husband, father and brother. He devoted the last few years to the Ministry and was pursuing his pastoral degree. He will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 14, 2009 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM in the Hillcrest Chapel. Family and friends will gather at Hillcrest Funeral Home for a 9:00 AM Service on Tuesday September 15, 2009. Procession will depart Hillcrest following service for interment at San Jose Burial Park. I knew Joe as a neighbor, he was helpful to us. I remember a time when our dog was having problems having her puppies, Joe came over to offer help. He was courageous in my mind.

Joe, my beloved nephew, my friend, my co-worker someone I cared and loved. He was a very caring and loving person. He was one person that would brighten my day.He always came in to work with a smile on his face. You will forever live in my heart.
