Not sure what to say?

My prayers and condolences goes to the family of this great singer and servant of God. I remembered listening to the Mighty Clouds of joy when I was a kid. One of the first songs that I heard was entitled, You'll Never Know, which was led by the powerful voice of Joe Ligon, whose voice sounded so much like a preacher, with such a great effect. RIH, my brother, Mr. Ligon, you are certainly missed. And the Clouds must keep rolling along. Take your rest, my brother. Also, my prayers and...

Condolences to family friends and all who love and knew one of Gospels song birds best.

TO THE LIGON FAMILY, I WISH TO SEND MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO YOU IN THE LOSS OF A GREAT SINGER . I WAS A FAN OF HIS FOR MANY YEARS AND DIDNT KNOW HE LEFT THIS WORLD SO SUDDENLY. HE WILL BE TRULY MISSED. BUT THE LEGACY HE LEFT WILL NOT PASS AWAY. KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AND REMEMBER, YOU WILL SEE HIM AGAIN. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU ALWAYS.

I first met the Mighty Clouds of Joy when they performed in our city of Wilmington De back in the 70´s. What a powerful group. I still listen to their songs which are so uplifting. Rest in Peace Mr.Ligon. Gone but never forgotten. Elsie Hopkins

I heard Mr Joe Ligon sing at the PLM&D Center in Helena Ar. What amazed the most about him was, their money was kinda short, I think due to poor promotion on the person that booked them there. He caught them when they were passing through. But the Mighty clouds of joy still sang. I listened to their recording, I don't feel no ways tired, over and over again to encourage myself to make it through police academy. I still listen to the mighty clouds this very day and will continue to be...

I remember Jo Ligon from Holmes Ave, Los Angeles, CA. When he was a teenager, I believe (I was a young girl) He sang with a group that attended The Sweet Home B.C., Pastor J. W. Wesley, on Bandera St. My cousin, a tenor, Will Ziegler was a member of the group ...I just can't remember the names of all of the group members. The Bass sing was a tall dark man of God.....I can remember the He always loved to sing and it was evident that at a young age he loved The Lord and the God given...

I grew up, listening to the Mighty Clouds of Joy. My mother used to play their records, often. I said that they're a powerful group, behind that lead singer, whom I later discovered emwho he was. Rest in peace, Brother Joe Ligon. Your work for the Lord was well done. Ride the mighty high.

My condolences
