I have a tremendous amount of respect for Joe and Willetta. What a blessing both of you are in my life. I have always appreciated Joe's willingness to share his stories and experiences, which strengthens me and has given me a good example. Joe is part of the greatest generation. His courage and loyalty to his country and to his family are inspiring. I am grateful to have known him. With prayers and appreciation, Colby

As a neighbor living near Joe and Willetta, I was impressed with their garden. Joe answered all my questions and added insights to successful gardening. We even video taped each plant as we discussed it. Joe was my friend in many ways and will always be. May Heavenly Father comfort you Willetta and your family at this time.

So sorry to hear the sad news about Joe. I will miss seeing him at the 398th BG Reunions, he was always a lot of fun. Now he joins his WWII crew once again, the Doerr Crew, all waiting for him at 30,000 feet. Keep 'em Flying Joe.
