I was Joe’s Ranch Manager for around 5 years. Words cannot express how much of an impact this man made on my life. He was truly one of the most generous and giving individuals I have ever met in my life. He had a true zest for life and was one of the sharpest people I have ever met. My fondest memory of Uncle Joe occurred on March 6, 1972. I was in San Antonio on leave from the U.S. Navy. Uncle Joe and Aunt Iris were visiting my parent's home and as they were leaving, Uncle Joe placed something in my hand. To my surprise it was a $100 bill. He was a very thoughtful and generous man who acted with a humble heart. I hope to see him again in heaven one day. Loving regards to Aunt Iris, Susan, Janet, and Joe.
