My thoughts and prayers are with the family. My Grand-mother was Dessie Pendry Byrd. I was in Hays, NC with her in 1957. We stayed with her brother, Bert & his wife, Millie while we were there. I may have met Joe, I'm not sure. I know we visited many of her relatives. May God strengthen and the Holy Spirit comfort each of you.
