Not sure what to say?

From a baseball friend of long ago, my condolences to the family. Jan (Frosty Kennedy) Briley.

We just received word of Joe leaving us tonight (here in Japan) where we've been gratefully serving the Lord as missionaries for 45 years. We are so grateful that we got to visit him and family in their lovely home, where we had the most delicious meal and family gathering last year. No one could have had a better little brother than he was for all those years. Our hearts go out to his wife Barbara and sister Albertine and families and friends in a special way, with our fervent prayers for...

Joe was a kind and gentle man who took time to sit and offer me advice in my early career. He will be remembered. My condolences to the family

I have posted Joe's obituary on my Fullerton Union High School Alumni blog so that more of his friends and classmates may see it.

A VERY SAD DAY FOR ME. JOE LIVED ACROSS THE CREEK FROM ME IN BUENA PARK.
HE WAS MY FIRST REAL FRIEND. HE SPENT A LOT OF TIME WITH ME LETTING ME
PITCH TO HIM. HE WAS FIVE YEARS OLDER THAN ME AND WAS WAY AHEAD OF HIS
AGE FOR BEING A GREAT PERSON
MY PRAYERS ARE WITH THE FAMILY AT THIS TIME.

Deepest condolences to the Potts Clan, from one of David's
classmates. You are very blessed with rich family heritage
and love. All the best to you during this difficult period .
Take care of Mama, and keep his memory alive.

Although Joe was a few years ahead of me at Fullerton High, I remember him as being friendly to all--even us lower classmates. My condolences to all of his family.

Joe will be remembered as kind and well respected man by all. It was an honor to have known and worked with him. He will be greatly missed.
