I have lived in the Rio Grande Valley for 53 years, but it all began when I was selected to work at the Model City Agency in Edinburg, Texas as a one semester intern. Joe Ramon was the executive Director and my 1st boss. Great mentor and a real public servant. I did something...working with Joe that caught the eye of the then Mayor and I was elevated to become City Planner. Joe was the catalyst. May his memory be a blessing to all who love him. Mike Blum
