Not sure what to say?

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Joe's family. I heard a lot about Joe over the years. Somehow he was related to my mother, Donna LeDuc Jones. Her mother, Nelva was a Howser, who married Leo LeDuc. Somehow the Howsers and Ruttens are related. Nelva and Claire and my mom spent time together in Seattle. We saw Claire and Bill Howe several times over the years. Bill passed away. I sent a card to Claire on Arcadia Ct. in Beaverton. It came back. Is there any way you could have her...

Joe Rutten was the father of my best childhood friend, Colleen. I remember him as a very kind man full of joy. Every time I would spend time at their house he would make me feel welcome with his cheerfulness and humor. I will always remember his positive spirit that he passed onto his lovely children and all who spent time with him. My deep condolences to the entire family. Know that you are in our prayers.

The conversations and shared events over the past 65+ years are treasured memories. Joe truly set the standard ! Patti and family is and will, be always in our thoughts and prayers.

I enjoyed working for and with Joe for many years. There really was no better man and he will be greatly missed by so many. Patti, our thoughts are with you and may your memories see you through this sad time.

This wonderful, kind man was ever gracious and happy to see everyone with whom he came in contact. Patty, I could never forget how good and loving you were to him, always, and how you loved and respected him! I am so glad you had many happy years together, and, consequently, many happy memories. You and your children were blessed! My sincere condolences and I hope you will be cheered by the realization that you will see him again, one day!

One of the kindest person that I have ever known. A wonderful husband, father and friend.

Always was a pleasure to see Joe at the MAC, just not the same without him. The Husband Family sends their condolences!

My sincere condolences to Patti and the family. Joe and I was knighted the same year 1981 by the Royal Rosarians and I enjoyed the times we we had together. Joe will be missed by all who knew him.

I will always remember Joe's big smile and cheerful attitude. He never failed to ask me how I was doing and gave me words of encouragement. Every time I saw Joe he always made me feel the world would be just fine.
