He was the most enjoyable R & B artist I have ever know who music always stops me dead in my tracks. I just found out through the internet today that Mr Simon had passed. Loved Joe Simon's music growing up. It always made me happy and he had a great voice. The music and singers, like the ones from his era, may never be seen again. Thank you Mr Simon for many years of singing enjoyment. May your soul rest in Peace and Glory within the kingdom of God

As a child growing up in Chicago I used to love to hear his music, while my family played spades. Sweet memories of that distinct voice!! May God continue to bless the family.
