Joe Harold Taylor, age 76, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County on February 18, 1937 to the late William Stephen Taylor and the late Mary Evelyn Smith Taylor. He was the owner and operator of Hedgepeth Auto Parts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Stephen Taylor and Mamie Smith Taylor; a son, Billy Wilcox; and a brother, Earl Taylor.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife and bright spot, Dayle McCabe of the home; a son, Dickie Wilcox and wife Belinda of Lumberton; daughters, Sharyn Lynn Taylor and husband David Lee of Atlanta, GA, Leslie Ann Taylor and friend Scott Jenkins of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, and Joyce Ann Monroe of Lumberton; sisters, Mildred Davenport and Linda Joyce both of Chesapeake, VA; the mother of his children, Linda G. Taylor of Laural Hill; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dayle, I was so sorry to hear of Harold's illness and subsequent passing. Mother is aware. My wish for you and your family God's best and love through your days ahead.
