JOE WALSER

I remember taking lessons from Joe on the practice tee at Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. I extend my sympathies and prayers to the entire Walser family.

I had the distinct pleasure of working for Mr. Walser at Lake Hefner Golf Course for seven years in the 60's. There was never a better time in my life. Joe and Pat mentored me, as well as all the other boys who worked in the shop, and taught me a work ethic that has stayed with me my entire adult life. We had great fun. I worked for Joe for quite a few years and adored the man. He was kind and fair. Almost every day I'd say, "How are you doing this morning?" He would always answer, "Well, I'm upright!"

For two summers in the 1960's, Joe gave me a golf lesson every week.. I have fond memories of those times. My prayer goes out to the family that he be remembered for his kindness.
