Services for J.D. Wyatt, 86, of Tyler, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in the chapel of Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home with Reverend Sherman Mayfield officiating and speaker, Jason Moody. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, February 27, 2018 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Mr. Wyatt passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018.
Joe Delbert Wyatt was born to the late, Grady Jerome Wyatt and Essie Ann Dean Wyatt on April 1, 1931 in Brownsboro, Texas. He married Mary Knowles on July 13, 1951 and they lived in Dallas until 1976 when they moved to Tyler. J.D. worked for Rowe Machinery in Dallas for 20 years and then worked for Kelly Springfield for 18 years before retiring in 1995.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Wyatt of Tyler; daughters: Liz O'Neill of Tyler and Donna Wright and husband, Karl of Chandler; one grandson, Jason Moody and wife, Melissa of Wylie; three great-granddaughters, Brittany, Kristen, and Kendall; nieces and nephews, Diann Baker, Lee Rich, Paul Stokes, David Wyatt and Danny Wyatt. He is preceded in death by his parents and by brother, Travis Wyatt and sons, Kenneth and Billy.
