Not sure what to say?

Dear Hannah & sons, I used to work with Joel back at the townhouse in the city & he just popped into my head. So sorry to hear of his passing. What a wonderful man. I remember him laughing with the boys & having fun. My condolences.

While researching The Library of Congress for some of Joel's photos of a trip taken by young Black students to Africa, I wondered what happened to Joel. He inspired me to become a photographer. He was a cool dude. African Summer 68.

Dear Hannah and family, I was saddened to hear of your loss. Hold on to your memories, and let them guide you during this time of sadness.

Dear Hannah, Michael and Daniel: Iam so sorry from the deepest of my heart to hear about Mr. Baldwin's passing. He, as well as you three, were part of my life while living in the States and I'll always be so thankful for that. Joel will always live in our hearts.

Breaks my heart to hear Joel passed. He was a great inspiration to me and although a celebrity in his own right, the most down to earth genuine person I met here on the shoreline. God bless Joel and my deepest sympathy to Hanna, Danny and Micheal.

Joel was so kind, and he saw so much, so quietly.

Dear Family, No words can express the sorrow I feel hearing of Joel's passing. He was a funny, talented, and loving man. I enjoyed working, laughing, eating, and drinking with him and still continue to update my book so our children are ready for our inevitable passing. Thank you for such wonderful memories.....

I was so sorry to hear about Joel's passing. He was a wonderful photographer and a great guy.

Hannah, we are so sad and sorry to hear this news. Joel has been a dear fried, an always welcome guest, and a great, talented colleague. We loved working with him and visiting with the two of you at beautiful Stony Point. This is an enormous loss. We will miss him very much. Our prayers are with you.
