Deeply regret reading of the passing of Pete Bonner who I first met when he walked in the Mt Vernon Rec Center to exercise as he was wearing a GOLDEN EAGLES baseball cap which instantly told me this was one great aviator. We had many discussions while riding stationary bikes and I realized Pete was a very modest outstanding Marine aviator. He never discussed his record but his being a Golden Eagle said it ball.
